Back in 1993, an online friend of mine, Tim Jamison (Operated The Academy BBS in Modesto, CA) told me about a local coffee house that had organized an “Open Mic” Poetry Night, where local writers could go down to read their works, and listen to the writings of others.

Now, four years and two coffee houses later, Poetry Night still thrives in Modesto, CA. The current location is at the “J Street Cafe”, in downtown Modesto, on J St. between 10th and 11th Streets, on Tuesday nights. If you live near the general Modesto and surrounding areas, please feel free to stop by, and be sure to try the coffee. It's excellent!

The poetry/prose section of the vision of Raider3 is dedicated to the memory of Jeremy C. Lee, one of my first friends, and who was instrumental in urging me to post my works on the net... Please enjoy what I have up here so far, and feel free to drop me a line if you like what I have... There will be more to come soon...
