the vision of raider3 Mokona-Lumcat
Concept sketches of an ungodly fusion of the plot device bunny from Magic Knight Rayearth, and my huge cuddly calico cat...

Words & Pictures
This illustration was the result of what happens when my imagination gets the best of me! ^_^; I thought this one up after a trip to Foothill Anime, noting that Mokona from Magic Knight Rayearth bore a slight resemblance to my Lum-cat, my 20-lb. calico cat (and Studio Calico namesake).

This is the third illustration I have done, since I thought the last one sucked, and I've been looking to replace it. This was traced off of a Snappy-capture of an actual sketch I did on March 27, 1997, based off of a thumbnail version I sketched on a page in my Dayrunner.

Original image was framegrabbed with Snappy Video Snapshot (version 1.0 software) from Play, Inc. Image tracing and painting were done in Adobe Photoshop 3.0.5, originally created in 16-million colors, then knocked down to 256 colors for the homepage.

Beta version 2.00 - last: 1997.8.4 - design by r3... whee...

236 x 251 pixel, 256-color image

Mokona-Lumcat Concept Design 2 - Inspired directly after a trip to Foothill A.N.I.M.E. last summer...
Image Data: 236 x 251 pixel, 256 color palette.
