Visual Story - 1

I showed up at Kyousuke's place just before noon on March 27, 1997... Moments before he was scheduled to begin smashing them up. (Thanks to his excellent directions, and my map-reading skills). He was mowing the lawn when I showed up, and with a 180-degree turn in front of his place, and a couple of toots on the horn, I announced my arrival. It was the first time we saw each other, technically, since AX'96 (I saw him at FanimeCon '97, but he didn't recognize me off the bat... heh heh heh), and the first time I met him since A Certain Thing happend on IRC back in December of 96 that got me pissed off at him real good. (I've buried the hatchet, tho)

So, with time to spare since he had to get the CD's out of his place, he invited me in to see his house. (He's got a really nice place, and pictures of some of the rooms are featured on the Laurie Five! pages on Apricot Systematic.) I also got to see his pet bunnie, Max (^_^), and I nearly freaked when I saw his base of operations. (The room where all his computer and anime/manga stuff was housed in.)

Finally, the time had come for rounding up the CD's to be sacrificed - I was able to get a listen to them before he destroyed them, and concurred with him that they did deserve to be put out of their misery.

Kyousuke's car - a mid-80's Chevy Nova (twin of the Toyota Corolla, assembled in Fremont, CA), bearing the name of his own media studio. I'm told this is the one and the same car that he races against Riiya in the Breakfast Race.

The CD's to be destroyed were laid out in the path of his car, which was moved into position on the street. I would take pictures of the event for posterity on here, while Kyousuke was videotaping the whole deal for possible conversion into a QuickTime .mov.

The CD's that were to be sacrified to the awesome might of the Chevy Nova... Get a good look at them while they're still intact! Four from Kyou's collection that he felt like parting with, but didn't feel like selling or passing off to someone.
