Standard Nono. SD13 Nono, F05 with custom body. 13Nana head (Nomi), modified F08 waiting for bodies. Mini SD with custom made body. Customised CP Soo, Angel Region Bada.

If it's there, there isn't a lot I can do about, so what does it matter if I belive or not?

7. Who is the manufacturer of your doll(s)?

Volks, Orataro, Angel Region, Cerberus Project and me.

8. What was your first reaction when you saw your SD for the first time?

"If I was still collecting doll's I'd be tempted."

9. Have you shown your doll off at a Doll Show?

No.

10. Which do you prefer? Commercial SDs (such as Kyon customed dolls) or Customizing your own SD?

Both have their merrits.

11. How do you feel about Commercial SDs?

Some are very pretty. Some are horrible!

12. Did you create a personality/background for your doll(s)? If so, describe them!

Well, most have personality/backgrounds inspired/based on some fiction I wrote years ago. Nono-Anne's original inspiriation was a real girl called Anne, who was my friend back in '69. Nomi came with her background, and Quin is finding her way. Nomi came with her own.

13. What type of relationship do you have with your doll (ex. beloved daughter, friend)?

Kind of like my relationship with my ponies .... they're all my kids :)

14. Does your SD have a nickname?

Nono :) The others go by their names.

15. What special meaning does your doll's name have?

Anne was my friend. See Q12. Emily and Aya are just a pretty names. Bada, Quin and Nomi came with theirs. Chi is obvious.

16. Does your SD have a special seat/place in your room? If so, where?

Usually sitting or standing by my bed.

17. Did you buy a chair specifically for your SD?

No.

18. Does your SD have accessories of her own? (ex. pets, toys, hairbrush)

Yes. Nono-Anne even has her own Super Dollfie, a Dollfie Plus Nana!

19. What hard to find items do you wish you could get for your doll?

A decent pair of specs.

20. What is the most expensive thing you've bought for your doll?

An outfit.

21. When you go out, do you take your doll with you?

I have a couple of times.

To visit the folks, and to a doll shop.

First trip was in her box. The second was in a carry-bag. For photos, sometime I just carry them in my arms.

25. When you do take your doll out, is it easy to do or do you find it's more trouble than it's worth?

It wasn't a problem.

Nono-Anne has Aya, Emily, Quin and her cousins Amy (a Myu SD) and Meg as well as the more recent arrivals.

27. If you could build your dream FCS for free, what would it be?

Nono 13. Pale eyes, white crimped hair. Basically what I have done with Quin.

32. What made you choose your SD out of all the various types?

She (Nono) was what attracted me to SD in the first place. If she had't been on the page with the others, I would never have become involved. The others appealed to me when I saw them, or similar dolls.

33. Do you change your SD's wig often and have you tried styling the wigs?

Changed them on occasion. Never styled.

34. How many wigs do you have?

Beats me! 15 to 20?

35. How many shoes do you have for your doll? Does your doll have socks too?

I think I have enough to go around. A couple pairs of socks.

36. What types of clothing does your doll wear? (name in order of favorite styles)

Nono-Anne, Emily, Nomi: Casual/bohemian. Quin, Chi: Lolita. Aya: - rather wild, perhaps punkish.

37. Where do you purchase your SD clothing?

Generally I don't. Some have been bought from other SD owners.

Yes.

Generally no, though in Chi's case the inspiration should be obvious.

Wardrobe, companion dolls (Aya, Emily), shoes, clothes hangars, Chi ears.

Have done all at various stages. Only sew now. On and off for the last 35 years.

I keep them where I can seem them! I customise them where the tools are (work room and workshop).

What they have, because they look good.

Nono-Anne, Emily: never. Aya, Quin: on occasion. Chi: once.

Not much. Can't afford much. Have spent $40 to $80 a couple of times. $200 once. Then of course, there were the additional heads and body...

Not for the dolls, no.

I may if I could afford it.

2 changes of clothes, a friend doll.

No.

Yes. Eve in USA is her sister. Aya is a "half sister" (sort of adopted) and Amy and Meg are cousins.

72. Will you pierce your doll's ears?

Nono-Anne: never. Aya: maybe. Nomi is already pierced in one ear.

73. Have you given your doll a manicure? What color?

No.

74. Did you do the esthetic process on your doll?

Nono-Anne, Bada, Quin, Nomi: no. Chi, Aya and Emily: yes.

75. If so, are you glad you did?

Had to on Aya - she was white. Emily came out well. She was an optional head, but had been painted by the time I got her. I redid her as near as I could to the Evil Pretty head that inspired me. Chi - delighted with the result.

76. If not, why not?

They look good, so no problems.

77. If you could change anything they did with the SD body, what would it be?

joint improvement on the standard legs - and what's more it looks like they have actually done so. Too late for me though.

78. Have you sueded and wired your doll?

Wired, and a couple of spots of suede.

79. If your SD could be friends with any other SD, which SD would it be?

Miss World Conquest (Nei) or SnowCherry's Seren ("SnowLove").

80. Do you plan to get more SDs in the future?

(I do now.) well.... I already did!

(A Nono 13 head, or even a complete Nono 13.) My Nono 13 head is actually on a Nana 13 body. The two were purchased as separate items.

No.

83. What is your SD have a favorite color?

Never thought about it, though for Quin, it would have to be white.

84. In general, what is your SDs mood or look?

Nono-Anne and Aya: Casual/pleasant. Emily: .... she is squinting. Sometimes I wonder what's going on in her head.

85. Describe your SD's favorite outfit.

Nono-Anne: Denim skirt, open down the front. Polo neck T with lace sleeves. Quin - she's waiting for me to do something for her. I think the other two are more interested in getting complete bodies at this point.

86. Does your SD have a formal name? What is it?

Nono-Anne is all she has (though I did receive a parcel addressed to Nono-Anne Stone). Aya is Aya McLeod. Emily is just Emily. Likewise the others.

87. Do you have an colored wigs for your SDs? (green or pink) Which ones?

W-8 orange, some Poshdolls colors (violet, lavender).

88. What SD would you like to see in the future?

Don't really have a wish here, though seeing (volks) Chi was nice.

89. If you have more than one SD, do you favor one over the others?

Nono-Anne of course.

No way.

DPI, Tutti Frutti-san, Imai.

92. Is there any SDs you regret not buying?

Strictly speaking, No. If I was a millionaire, or SDs were only $50, it would be a different matter. The one I would have regretted not buying was Nomi, so I bought her, even though I had to go over budget to do so. I would loved to have bought Volks Chi, but I don't think I'd ever pay that much for any doll.

93. Do any of your friends own SDs?

My mother does, and she is a friend.

94. Do you have SD get togethers?

Yes.

95. Have you lied about the true cost of your SD to your family or friends?

No.

No. Protective maybe, but not obsessive.

Nono-Anne of course, assuming she was close enough to grab.

No, but I do borrow one so I can.

I guess she'd go with the estate. There's no special person to pass her onto.
